I got no way of proving this but I SWEAR DOWN I’m right!

Let’s rewind to the 14th of may 2020. I read this article

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-52659193

In a nutshell Dave and his executives wanted to propose that Ocado cannot be considered competition in the retail market and by removing the company from their OWN BENCHMARKS that they SET FOR THEMSELVES this would somehow keep things “FAIR”.

Reading this article properly fucked me off coz I would absolutely like to say during my review with my manager, “ hey boss can we remove the pharmacy across the road from me as competition and just look at the numbers as if they don’t exist so that I can get a bonus?”

This removal would have enabled the C.E.O to get an increase in his bonus from £800,000 to £2.4 million (979,113 shares to be precise!) and his C.F.O would have had a similar bonus.

Fast forward to the 26th of June 2020 I was absolutely over the moon to read this!

Eyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy, their sly tactic didn’t work the shareholders voted this sly one down and rightly so!

But as always life is never black and white and taking pride in taking a small win from the big dogs can always come back to bite you in the butt!

Just follow me here now.

If I were the executives and I had to hold and present an AGM I’d need to know the result of the vote right?

Let’s say as the top dogs I knew about the result of the voting of this remuneration package a week in advance!

That would make it the 19th of June. Have a look at this!

On the 19th of June a VALUE of £83.2 million shares were traded.  (This is significantly more than ANY OTHER DAY OF THE MONTH!)

On the 26th of June a VALUE of £61.29 million shares were traded.

On the 19th of June a week before the AGM 6.26K of Tesco stock was traded.

On the 26th of June (they day the announcement of vote against the remuneration package) there was 9.11K shares traded.

The share price of Tesco Shares on the 19th was £2.27

The share price of Tesco Shares on the 26th was £2.30

If 6000 trades occur at £2.27 and it equals to £83.2 million pounds give or take, how the fuck does 9000 trades at £2.30 equal £61.29 million?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It literally makes no sense whatsoever.

Why does it bother me so much? Because it affects me so much. These executives undoubtedly dumped their stocks a week in advance of knowing everyone else would dump theirs once they found out the result of the vote.

The big boys have basically diluted the share price literally TWO MONTHS before my share scheme is about to mature!

It’s fucking bullshit and there is nothing I can do about it. It just makes decisions harder going forward and will take so much re-strategizing.

But yea whatever.
