I’m writing this after smoking a cigar. I usually smoke a cigar on my birthday or for a celebration of some sort but today I smoked one for Kobe Bryant.
Today he passed away after crashing in a helicopter accident, his daughter was with him at the time too.
It’s a tragedy to anyone who is a basketball fan and to anyone who wants to win in life.
He was only 41. He was technically financially independent at 17 when he signed his first NBA contract and yet for 20 years he continued to drive in every aspect of his career to be considered one of the greatest players of all time, he played with a broken finger, he even came back on to the court to shoot two free throws with a broken achilles.
I only hope that when I become 41 I will have become at the very least financially independent and I hope anyone who reads this achieves FI and whatever they would like to achieve in their lives too.
